Memory is a record.
People only have substance within the memories of other people. And that’s why there were all kinds of myself. There weren’t a lot of myself per se, I was just inside all sorts of people, that’s all.

I’ve heard it said that photographers are “lazy painters.” On the  evidence of the works on view at the Museum of Art and Design’s “Otherworldly: Optical Delusions and Small Realities”  show, they can also be skilled carpenters, brilliant architects, and  meticulous gardeners. Not all artists take the time to craft every  little detail of the worlds going on in their heads, but these  photographers and artists certainly have. Here’s a peek.
